How to do a screen capture screenshot on an Android device

How to make Grandma's blood pressure rise.
One of the things that I liked about an iPhone that you couldn't do on an Android was to capture and save whatever image was on your screen and then share it with the world. The possibilities for a lunatic like me are endless. Well, maybe not endless since I can't even think of one really good thing to capture. But I will. You can be your sweet bippy, I will.

The iPhone captures that caught my attention were all of those texting mishaps and funny texts which were captured and then shared via social networking (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).

Now, all of the Android text screw-ups can be captured and shared...as long as you have upgraded to the latest Android OS (Android 4.2 Jellybean). So, if you have that, here's all you have to do:

1) While the screen shows the image you wish to capture, simultaneously press and hold the power button and the volume down button.

That's it. No number two. You'll hear a click and the image will be saved to your Screenshot folder to do with what you will.

So, why, you may ask, did I number the instructions when there was only one number in the entire tutorial? Don't know.
